NSF, NSUI guiding new aspirants at JU

JAMMU, July 6: To guide admission seekers for various Post Graduate courses at Jammu University, National Secular Forum (NSF) today opened a “Guidance Bureau-cum-Information Centre”.
The centre was inaugurated by Registrar, Jammu University, Prof Naresh Padha, who was the chief guest on the occasion, in presence of Jammu University Non-Teaching Employees Association (JUNTEU), president, Sunil Sahi, Ashwani Bakshi, joint secretary (JUNTEU), Dr Vikas Sharma, president, National Secular Forum and Dr Hari Dass, Assistant Prof.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Naresh Padha, exhorted upon all the students organizations to work for the betterment of new entrants with the assistance of University authorities.
Sunil Sahi said that the center would not only provide guidance to the students but also try to teach them basic values of the life.
Dr Vikas Sharma said that the main objective of establishing guidance bureau-Cum-information counter is to guide the freshers who are visiting the campus to seek admission in various Post Graduate courses.
Meanwhile, National Students’ Union of India (NSUI), Jammu University organised “Help Desk Programme”, to provide basic information to the new comers.
The camp was inaugurated by Uday Singh Chib, State president, NSUI, in presence of Neeraj Kundan, national delegate and Ramansh Billawria, general secretary, incharge of the programme.
While speaking, Uday Singh Chib, said that this kind of programme would help new students to get basic information about the admission procedure in their respective campuses.
Information like merit list of entrance exam, list of documents required for admission, formalities like attestation of documents etc will be taken care of through this help desk programme, he said, adding, that students can contact NSUI activists for any kind of help through this.
