JAMMU, May 12: Inter Zone Tournament for boys and girls Under 17 years of Nowshera, Dandasar, Moghla, Kalakote, Sunderbani and Lower Hathal zone organised by Department of Youth Services and Sports commenced today at Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Lamberi.
The tournament was inaugurated by MLC Ravinder Sharma in presence of Krishan Lal Principal, Vipan Sharma, ZPEO, Rakesh Choudhary, incharge ZPEO, Kasturi Lal and Kulwant Singh.
In Kho-Kho boys, Lower Hathal will clash with Zone Sunderbani in the final tomorrow. Earlier in the first semis Lower Hathal beat Nowshera Zone and Sunderbani Zone defeated Dandasar Zone in the second semis.
In Kabaddi boys, Kalakote Zone will lock horns with Zone Dandasar in the final tomorrow. Earlier, Kalakote zone beat Zone Nowshera in the first semis, whereas zone Dandasar defeated Zone Sunderbani in the second semis.
In Volleyball boys final, Kalakote Zone beat Dandasar Zone, whereas in girls section, Dandasar zone beat Sunderbani Zone.
In Kabaddi girls, Sunderbani zone will clash with zone Nowshera for title clash tomorrow. Earlier in the first semifinal Sunderbani Zone defeated Moghla Zone and in the second semis, Nowshera zone crushed Hathal zone.
In Kho-Kho girls, Sunderbani zone will lock horns with Dandasar zone in the final tomorrow. Earlier, Sunderbani zone beat Kalakote zone in the first semis, whereas Dandasar zone crushed Moghla zone in the second semifinal.
Romesh Chander Sharma, ZPEO Sunderbani conducted the proceedings of the tournament.
The tournament is being organised under the overall supervision of Mohammad Ayaz Khan, DYSSO Rajouri.
