JAMMU, Dec 6: International Daily Rising School (IDRS) hosted its highly anticipated Annual Sports meet 2024, themed “SCHOLYMPIC 6.O”, here today.
The day began with great anticipation as we welcomed our distinguished guests Supinder Kaur, the Chairperson, who served as chief guest, and Raghav Gupta, the Managing Director, Pawandeep Singh was the guest of honour while special guest was Surinder Singh Wazir.
The event commenced with heartfelt welcome song performed by the Daily Risers, followed by the Emancipation of Balloons, symbolizing the release of aspirations and the boundless potential of every student. The guests were received in an eco-friendly manner by junior head boy and head girl. Principal Dr. Atul Hans also delivered a thoughtful and inspiring opening address, emphasizing the importance of perseverance, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
A diverse array of athletic events ranged from Martial Arts, Basketball, and Skating to the 200m Race, Kabaddi, and Relay Races. The day’s activities culminated in the highly anticipated Sack Race and Hurdles, with participants pushing their limits in a true display of athleticism.
The event concluded with the prize distribution ceremony, where outstanding students were recognized for their exceptional performances in various categories, including National, State, District-Level Competitions and Inter, Intra-School Events. Special accolades were given to the Best House Loyality House in CCA and Sports, celebrating the collective efforts of the winning team.
