JAMMU, Dec 8: The 36th Jammu District Volleyball Championship for boys and girls concluded at MA Stadium, Jammu, organized by the Jammu District Volleyball Association in collaboration with the J&K Sports Council.
In the boys’ final, Border Lions Pallanwala defeated SAI Jammu in a thrilling 3-0 victory with set scores of 25-23, 28-26, and 25-17. In the girls’ final, Trikuta Junior Volleyball Club won against Trikuta Senior Club, also with a 3-0 scoreline (25-22, 25-23, 28-26). Both teams showcased exceptional skills, impressing spectators with their powerful spikes.
Puran Singh, founder of Border Lions Pallanwala, praised the event for fostering the physical and mental growth of the youth. The ceremony also honoured several dignitaries, including Col. Gurbaksh Singh Gill and Vijay Kumar Magotra.
H.S. Gill, Secretary of the Jammu District Volleyball Association, thanked all stakeholders for their support in ensuring the championship’s success. The event was officiated by Rasik, Danish and Shabir.
