KV No 1 Jammu celebrates 62nd Foundation Day

JAMMU, Dec 13: Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) No. 1 Jammu celebrated its 62nd Foundation Day with great enthusiasm and zeal. The event highlighted the mission of the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) to nurture core values, foster educational excellence and shape responsible citizens.
This year’s theme, “Honour the Past while Creating the Future,” emphasized the importance of both cherishing traditions and building a better tomorrow. The celebrations began with a tilak ceremony, followed by the presentation of a bouquet by the tiny tots of Balvatika. The lighting of the lamp by the esteemed guests and alumni marked the commencement of the day’s events.
Students of KV No. 1 Jammu presented a series of captivating cultural performances, showcasing the rich and diverse cultural heritage of India. The gathering was also graced by the alumni of the school and retired KVS staff, who shared inspiring stories and fond memories of their time at the school.
Mementos were presented to the guests in recognition of their contribution to the school community. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Sudha Gautam, PGT Maths, who expressed gratitude to all those who made the celebration a success. The programme was conducted under the guidance of Vice Principal Akash Gupta.
