PULWAMA, May 15: A road race was organized by the Government Degree College (GDC)(Boys) Pulwama today from Murran Chowk Pulwama to Kakapora. As many as 88 students of the College participated in the event.
The race was flagged off by the College Principal Prof. (Dr) Mumtaz Ali in presence of the Sports Board members, senior staff members and officers of district administration.
The winners of the Road Race namely Asif Ahmad Dar of BG 1st, Zubair Ahmad and Mohammad Yasin of BG 2nd year bagged the 1st, 2nd and 3rd position respectively.
Later on, they received medals from the Principal and Senior Staff members.
The College Principal in his address at the function appreciated the arrangements made by the Sports Board District Administration, Police Department and District Health Department for making the necessary arrangements to make the event a success.
