JAMMU, Dec 17: Yawer Hassan’s scintillating century and key contributions from Qazi Junaid, Arnav Gupta, Kawal Preet Singh and skipper Kanhaiya Wadhawan powered Jammu and Kashmir to a commanding 163-run victory over Odisha in the U-23 Men’s State-A One-Day Trophy at RDCA Ground, Raipur.
J&K, batting first, posted a total of 322/7 in 50 overs. Yawer Hassan scored an impressive 112 off 113 balls, while Qazi Junaid made 70 runs. Arnav Gupta added 49 runs off just 27 balls. Odisha could only manage 159 runs in 33.5 overs in reply. Skipper Sawan Pahariya (41) and Badal (35) were the top scorers for Odisha.
For J&K, Archit Mahajan and Vishal Kumar took 3 wickets each, while Atif Bin Mushtaq bagged 2 wickets. J&K’s all-round performance sealed the comprehensive victory.
