There have been instances of some persons belonging to election boycott brigade stripping and beating some voters for the reason that they neglected the diktats of boycotting the elections in the Valley.
Sporadic repressive measures by these elements cannot deter the common voter in Kashmir valley from exercising his or her democratic right to participate in the elections. The CM has assured that such culprits shall be punished for these crimes against innocent persons for casting votes. It is to be seen how soon such people are brought to book so that democratic process does not get affected in whatsoever small measure in coming times.
