JAMMU, May 17: The eagerly awaited ‘Investiture Ceremony’ of Heritage School for the academic session 2014-15 was held, here today.
There was an aura of expectancy as the day proved fruitful to see the beaming faces displaying the gesture to prove their worth.
The occasion was attended by the proud parents of the elected Student Council Members.
It commenced with the lighting of the traditional lamp by the School Principal.
The students performed Saraswati Vandana.
The Vice-Principal then administered the oath of office to the School Prefects and House Prefects respectively.
It was followed by induction of the Council Members by the Principal, who ordained Nav Mahajan (XII) as Head Boy and Sanna Gandotra (XII) as Head Girl with badges and sashes.
The Vice-Principal inducted Manik Tripathi (XI) as Vice-Head Boy and Rhythm Babbar (XI) as Vice-Head Girl with badges and sashes.
The Headmistress, conferred the badges and sashes to Urvarshi Jain (XI) as Captain Cultural Activities. Shauryakant (XI) as Sports Captain was anointed by the Co-ordinator Sports, Satinder Singh.
The Academic Co-ordinator (VI-X), ordained the House Prefects and Vice-Prefects with sashes followed by conferring of badges from their respective Housemistresses and Vice-House mistresses.
The students pledged that they would do their best to carry out their duties diligently.
The Principal highlighted the fact that India has the maximum population of youngsters and optimized the thought of marching towards progress.
