JAMMU, May 17: Being organized by Freedom Society, an Association of Sports and Martial Arts, the 6th Jammu District Martial Arts Championship got underway at Jammu Public Higher Secondary School, Wazarat Road, here today.
The Championship is being organized under the supervision of Karun Khajuria, 3rd Dan, Black Belt and gold medalist at the National level.
Earlier, SIH Kazmi, Director, Jammu Public Higher Secondary School and Principal Neerja Handoo inaugurated the event in an impressive function, while Vikram Singh, District vice president PDP and Sachin Sharma, State Youth leader PDP were the chief guests on the valedictory function.
DBN School Mubarak Mandi bagged first position by bagging 8 gold, 8 silver and 3 bronze medals, while Jammu Public Higher Secondary School and Rhyme Time Playway School claimed second and third spot by clinching 4 gold, 1 silver and 4 bronze medals and 2 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals respectively.
