KATHUA, Dec 26: Spring Dales English School, Kathua has been shortlisted in the North Zone category of the prestigious Macmillan Budding Scientist Program 2024-25, in collaboration with IIT Delhi. The school’s project, “Aquafina – The Clearance of Water,” earned recognition for its innovative approach to solving global water purity and sustainability challenges.
The project, led by students Sachi Sharma, Sadhya Sambyal and Jagruti Sharma, was presented at the IIT Delhi campus, where the team demonstrated their ability to blend creativity with scientific rigor. The project focuses on improving water purification methods, showcasing the students’ dedication to addressing pressing environmental issues.
Other schools in the North Zone that were shortlisted include St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School (Chandigarh), St. Joseph’s Convent School (Jalandhar) and GD Goenka Signature School (Gurugram), among others. Director Prof. R.K. Gupta expressed pride in the school’s achievement, emphasizing the importance of inspiring young scientific minds.
