Srinagar, May 18: Police this evening fired in air to disperse a mob that was trying to set ablaze house of one Gouhar Ahmad Dar, son of Mohammad Ayub Dar, resident of Karnabal Sambora who allegedly raped a girl.
The mob gathered outside Dar’s house this evening to set it afire. Dar allegedly forced his entry into neighbour’s house and raped a 4-year old girl. The girl’s parents were not inside the house when the incident took place.
The girl was referred to nearby hospital and later she was shifted to Lad Ded Memorial hospital Srinagar for treatment.
Dar is evading arrest.
