Srinagar, May 18: A youth was kidnapped and later killed by unidentified gunmen in Sopore in North Kashmir district of Baramulla today.
Police said that the gunmen kidnapped Abid Wani at Sopore and later shot him dead from point blank range during the intervening night of May 17 and 18.
The body of the deceased youth, who had received bullet injury in the head, was tied to a tree.
No militant outfit has claimed responsibility for his killing. Police have registered a case and initiated a hunt to nab the killers.
