UDHAMPUR, May 20: An ITBP jawan died due to accidental gun shot under mysterious circumstances at 15 Battalion ITBP Padanoo Camp Chopra Shop, Udhampur.
The deceased was identified as 15 Battalion ITBP jawan namely Rakesh Kumar (No.110150915CT/GD), son of Chander Kishor Singh of Begu Sarai in Bihar. He was presently posted at 15 Battalion ITBP Padanoo Camp Chopra Shop Udhampur.
He was found lying in a pool of blood after sound of a pistol fire around 3:15pm at Padanoo Camp. He was immediately shifted to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors declared him as brought dead.
Meanwhile, Rehamble Police has registered the case under Section 174 RPC for further investigation.
