Jodhamal enters finals of Inter-School Cricket Tournament

JAMMU, May 22: Defeating RRL School in an easy contest by 7 wickets, Jodhamal Public School entered the finals of the Inter-School Under-16 Boys Cricket Tournament at RRL Academy ground, here today.
Earlier, put into bat, RRL School scored a paltry total of 91 runs in 19.3 overs. Vignesh Kumar scored 24 runs, while Sujit Kumar and Daksh Verma contributed 16 and 17 runs respectively. For Jodhamal School, Hameem Rathore and  Ayush Verma bagged 2 wickets each, while Abhishek Abrol,  Nalin Kamal and Jagteshwar claimed 1 wicket each.
Jodhamal School, in reply, scored 95 runs in 10.2 overs for the loss of 3 wickets, thus won the match by 7 wickets. Danvish scored 52 runs off just 27 balls, studded with 5 sixes, while Lionerjeet contributed 20 runs off 28 balls. For RRL School, Mavneek took 2 wickets. Danvish was adjudged man of the match.
In another match played yesterday, Jodhamal Public School defeated Model Academy by 7 wickets. Model Academy scored 76 runs, while Jodhamal in reply scored the required runs in 13.1 overs by losing 3 wickets to win the match by 7 wickets. Hameer Rathore of Jodhamal was adjudged man of the match for his brilliant bowling display.
DPS Jammu will take on MHAC Nagbani in the next match at the same venue tomorrow.
