JAMMU, May 22: Jammu and Kashmir Basketball Association selected men and women basketball teams for 65th Junior National Basketball Championship to be held at Regional Sports Center, Kadavantra, Enrekulam in Kerala from May 26 to June 2, 2014.
The selection committee members were Varinder Pal Singh, Rajinder Singh, Vikrant Singh and Ajay Bharti, while the committee was constituted by Prem Pal Singh, secretary J&K Basketball Association.
The team was flagged off by Varinder Pal Singh in an impressive and well attended function.
Men’s team: Amanjot Singh, Jaskirat Singh, Arnav Bakshi, Rohan Kundal, Pranav Dubey, Rishev Andotra, Sumer Singh, Akashbir Rakara, Nirbhay Singh, Abhinandan Singh, Nikhil Padha and Indeerjeet Singh.
Rohit Chhibber will accompany the team as coach, while Vishal Singh Jamwal will be the manager.
Women’s team: Kanupriya Dubey, Abhileen Kour, Deher Mir, Shreya Saksena, Aashima Tandon, Pearl Sharma. Reetu Poria, Mehwish Manzoor, Mamta Mishra, Saumya Saksena, Sikshita Raina and Cheena Mahajan.
Sunil Singh Yadav is accompanying the team as coach and Rahisa Mir as manager.
