RAJOURI, Jan 11: The two-day cluster-level sports meet, organized by Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) Rajouri in collaboration with the J&K Social & Cultural Council Sunderbani and Young India Youth Club Sunderbani, concluded at Government High School (GHS) Hathel. The event, designed to promote sportsmanship and youth engagement, saw participation from various sports clubs and Mahilla Mandals across the Sunderbani block.
The tournament was inaugurated by Headmaster Suman Sharma, who welcomed participants and encouraged them to showcase their athletic abilities. On the second day, Captain Bal Krishan Sharma (Ex-Sarpanch Hathel-B) attended as the chief guest, distributing sports kits, mementos, and certificates to the participants, recognizing their efforts.
The sports meet featured events such as volleyball, kho-kho, badminton, shot put, 100-meter race, and skipping rope. In the volleyball competition, Government High School Hathel emerged victorious. Shakti Mahilla Mandal won the kho-kho event, while Lovely Mahilla Mandal took the badminton title. Amar Youth Club clinched first place in shot put, Young India Youth Club triumphed in the 100-meter race, and Bharti Mahilla Mandal excelled in skipping rope.
