DODA, Jan 14: The Taekwondo Association of District Doda is set to host the 5th District Doda Taekwondo championships 2024-25 on January 17 and 18 at the Indoor Sports Hall in Doda. This event is part of the “My Youth My Pride” initiative and will be held under the auspices of the J&K Taekwondo Association (Regd.) and the J&K Sports Council.
The Championship is open to athletes from District Doda in the sub-junior, cadet, junior and senior categories. Medallists from the competition will have the opportunity to represent district Doda in the 27th J&K UT Taekwondo Championships 2024-25.
To ensure fairness, only medal winners from the District Doda championships will qualify for the upcoming UT-level championships. Participants must hold valid JKTA Athlete Licenses; entries without a valid license will not be accepted.
For Senior and Junior athletes, possession of a Black Belt Certificate is mandatory to be eligible for the 27th J&K UT Taekwondo Championships, in line with guidelines from the Taekwondo Federation of India (TFI).
The event was finalized in a meeting chaired by Junaid Ali Khan, President of the Taekwondo Association of District Doda, along with other office bearers.
