JAMMU, May 24: In broad day light, some masked bikers snatched gold ornament (Dijhuru) of a Kashmiri Pandit lady in Pamposh Colony area, falling under the jurisdiction of Janipur police station.
As per reports, Seema, wife of Anil Wali, a resident of Pamposh Colony, Janipur had gone outside her house for some domestic work around 12:30 pm today. While returning, two motorcycle borne youths stopped her and snatched gold ornament (Dijhuru) causing grievous injuries to lady in her ears.
As the lady made hue and cry, the passerby rushed to the spot, but by that time, the snatchers had fled the spot after committing the offence.
On getting information, police team from Janipur police station rushed to the spot and shifted the woman to Government Hospital Sarwal, where after first aid, she was discharged.
A case under FIR number 104/14 has been registered at Janipur police station and manhunt launched to nab the snatchers.
However, no arrest has been made till last reports compiled.
