KATRA, May 26: Delhi Public School, SMVDU, Katra held its investiture ceremony in the school premises here today.
The programme began with the lighting of the traditional lamp followed by welcome song by the school choir.
The dignitaries of the school, D R Sharma, Chief Administrator along with school Principal, R K Verma and Headmistress Vandna Sharma presented the badges to the newly cabinet of the school followed by the oath taking Ceremony.
The Principal of the school encouraged the student to uphold the value of honesty, loyalty, integrity and sportsmanship as vital qualities.
Speaking on the occasion, D R Sharma advised the students to take part in curricular and co-curricular activities with full zeal and dedication and also encouraged for developing sportsmanship, discipline and integrity besides their routine studies.
Aryan Dubey and Supriya Sharma were announced as head boy and head girl by the school authorities.
Other students included in the Council were: The Ganga House, Hari Arya as Captain, Rytham Sharma as Vice Captain, and Drub Kant as sports Captain and Vipasa Singh as Cultural secretary. The Yamuna House included Nikhil Angral as Captain, Rishi Bharti as Vice Captain Ohm Kesar as sports Captain, and Janvi Kohli as cultural secretary. The Jhelum House comprised of Tarun Solan as Captain, Digvijay Singh as Vice Captain, Dheeraj Singh as sports captain and Nandita Khajuria as Cultural Secretary. The Chenab House has Manik Gandotra as captain, Sarthak Mahajan as Vice Captain, Sahil Sharma as sports captain and Jhalak Mehta as cultural secretary.
The programme ended with the national Anthem.
