JAMMU, May 29: To build self-confidence and infuse self-esteem among the students to hold stage before the judges and the audience, Delhi Public School (DPS), Jammu organized an Inter-House Debate for VIth class students on the topic ‘Homework is an Integral Part of Indian Educational System’, here today.
2 students from each House participated in the Debate-one for the motion and one against the same. Saroj Bakshi and Manpreet Kour were the adjudicators, who adjudged Mridul and Harkartik as the best speakers. Jhelum House was adjudged first, while second and third position went to Yamuna House and Tawi House respectively.
Headmistress, Meenu Gupta while addressing on the occasion said that Debate is a vital academic activity that supports intellectual grooming and confidence building in the students.
Dr D Joseph, Additional Director/Principal lauded the efforts of the winners for their achievement.
House Master of Chenab House, Bhanu Dubey presented vote of thanks, while Coordinator Mrignaini Pathania was also present on the occasion.
