1 dies, 4 injured in accidents

SRINAGAR, May 29: One person died, while four others were injured in separate road accidents across the Valley today.
A passenger, Waseem Ahmad Paneroo son of Ali Mohammad of Malik Sahib, Srinagar, died when a minibus, JK05A/6582, collided with a Tavera, JK05C/9790, near Palhallan Pattan in Baramulla district, a police spokesman said.
He said a girl, Sumaira of Shopian and the driver of Tavera Mohammad Aslam of Chahal Boniyar were shifted to Srinagar for further treatment.
The spokesman said a Sumo, JK05-5101, driven by Bilal Ahmad Bhat son of Bashir Ahmad Bhat of Raki-Asham Sumbal hit and injured an eight year old boy, Ishfaq Ahmad Hurra son of Abdul Rashid Hurra of Naidkhai. He was shifted to Sub District Hospital, Sumbal for treatment wherefrom he has been shifted to JVC Srinagar for further treatment.
In another accident, a Tempo traveler, JK14B-3650, driven by Mohammad Imtiyaz son of Mohammad Hussain of Maunder, Poonch, hit and injured old boy,6, Rigzin Chosfail son of Kunchok Sherap of Sapi near Rangdoo Nunamchey in Kargil.He was shifted to District Hospital Kargil for treatment, the spokesman said.
He said police has registered cases and arrested the driver of the vehicle in Kargil accident.
