Villagers threaten to block NH over shortage of teachers

JAMMU, May 29: Residents of Village Sandhi have threatened the administration of blocking the National Highway at Purmandal Morh if adequate staff is not provided in the local school (Government Middle School, Sandhi), where the students are suffering due to shortage of teachers.
They alleged that at present there are only five teachers in the school, which has strength of 300 students. Among them if one goes to leave and another for office work, there remained only three teachers to teach 300 students, they added.
They said that due to the shortage of teachers the students are suffering, which is evident from class 10th result of the school, which saw very low pass percentage.
