BHADERWAH, May 31: In continuation with its efforts for upliftment of local youths of the area, by providing an opportunity to showcase their talent and acquire a level of self-confidence, Rashtriya Rifles located at Bhaderwah under the aegis of Counter Insurgency Force (Delta), organized Volleyball Tournament at Channi from here. The tournament was held to promote sports activities, peace and brotherhood in the area as a part of perception management activities.
A total of twelve teams participated in the tournament, consisting players from local sports club, school and colleges of villages Chinta, Nalthi, Chinchora, Manthala, Malothi, Sitengal, Sarunda, Dugga, Naskaand nearby villages.
The matches were played as per existing rules by league cum knockout basis. A total of fifteen matches played between the teams of Pool- A, Pool-B, Pool-C and Pool-D. All the teams participated with josh and completely mesmerized the audience.
The final match was played between Malothi Team and Sarunda Team. The Sarunda Team won by sets score 3: 0. The winner and runner-up teams were facilitated with trophies and individual medals.
