JAMMU, June 4: A Placement Drive for IISD (Indian Institute of Skill Development) has been conducted for the students of Degree/Diploma /General Category in Government Polytechnic Jammu by UDAAN in collaboration with National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) of India.
A written test followed by Group Discussion and an interview of students of various Polytechnics and Engineering Colleges of J&K were conducted by the team of experts.
In two days long Placement Drive, more than 240 students appeared, out of which 140 students including Electrical, 50, Civil, 40, IT,11 and Graduates, 39 got selected.
Arun Bangotra, Principal Government Polytechnic Jammu addressed the students of various branches and thanked the recruiting faculties for providing the job opportunity to the Polytechnic and other students.
Experts from IISD included Rajan Bakshi, MD Prospective IISD Software; Romit, CEO Prospective; Sahil Nakvi, Ashish Verma and Vijay Kumar. Hameed Malik, Training and Placement Officer, Reenu Kotwal, Demonstrator Computer Engineering Department were present during the two-day Placement Drive.
