JAMMU, June 7: Annual Day-cum-Prize Distribution Function was held at KC Gurukul College of Education, Paloura in the School premises, here today.
Arvind Mahajan, Chairman of the College was the chief guest on the occasion.
Coordinator of the College, Sangeeta Sharma read out Annual Report highlighting the prominent activities and achievements of the College during this academic year.
The prize distribution function was also held in which the chief guest distributed prizes and certificates among the students who achieved excellence in different co-curricular activities which included Flower Arrangement, Poster Making, Rangoli Competition and Sport events like Spoon Racing, Cricket, Kho-Kho, Chess, and Badminton etc.
The winners of sports events included Jyoti Verma and Vasundra, Surbhi Manhas and Anu Devi who shared 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize respectively in Spoon Racing. Himmat Singh emerged victorious in Chess, Sushil Sharma and Kunal Sharma were winners in Badminton men’s doubles and Surbhi Tagotra and Anu Devi won Badminton women’s doubles.
In Kho-Kho, Team-B was victorious which comprised of students Surbhi Manhas, Priya Mehra, Achla Sharma, Ruchika Bhau, Renu Kumari, Neha Kumari, Sunanda Chib and Anjali Sharma.
In Poster Making Competition, Megha Sharma, Surbhi and Arti clinched 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize respectively.
