SOPORE, July 9: A brilliant knock of 82 runs by Ajaz Ahmad helped MCC Reds Sopore to crush Khushal Sports by a huge margin of 123 runs in the ongoing 1st Sopore T20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by District Police Sopore at Khushal Stadium, here.
Earlier, batting first, MCC Reds posted a decent score of 178 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Ajay played a magnificent innings of 82 runs.
In reply, Khushal Sports collapsed at 54 runs to lose the match by a huge margin of 123 runs. Ajaz was adjudged man of the match.
In another match, Ashraf Cricket Club Sopore registered a narrow win by 13 runs over Asian Computers Cricket Club (ACCC). Batting first, Ashraf Club scored 134 runs, while in return ACCC managed to score 121 runs and lost the match by 13 runs. Feroze Ahmed, skipper of Ashraf Club was declared man of the match for his superb knock of 44 runs.
