JAMMU, Apr 7: Jammu’s Masters Swimmers brought home an impressive total of seven gold medals, nine silver medals and 3 bronze medals at the 7th Masters National Games held in Mohali.
The team, led by David Sandhu, consisted of five athletes from various age groups: David Sandhu (46+), Rudraksh Gupta (30+), Rajesh Singh (36+), Kulbhushan Jamwal (72+) and Pragun Bhalwal (30+).
Kulbhushan Jamwal, 72, earned silver in the 4×50 Medley Relay and a bronze in the 50m Backstroke. Rudraksh Gupta, 30, stood out with a gold in the 200m Individual Medley, silver in both the 50m and 100m Breaststroke, and multiple medals in relay events, including gold in the 4×50 Freestyle Relay and silver in the 4×50 Medley Relay.
Pragun Bhalwal, also 30, played a significant role, winning gold in the 50m Freestyle, silver in the 4×50 Medley Relay and bronze in the 50m Breaststroke and 100m Freestyle. David Sandhu, 46, claimed gold in the 4×50 Freestyle Relay, silver in the 4×50 Medley Relay and silver in the 50m Breaststroke. Rajesh Singh, 36, earned gold in the 50m Backstroke and the 4×50 Freestyle Relay, along with silver in the 50m Breaststroke and 50m Freestyle.
