Sir,
There was great expectations that peace would prevail on LoC after Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharief visited India during Narendra Modi’s swearing-in ceremony. But that did not happen. Pakistan is back to its old game of making ceasefire violations.
The heavy shelling on civilians in Mendhar sector has once again proved that Pakistan is not going to mend its way unless it is taught a tough lesson.
The firing at border has made the life of people living there quite miserable. They have to leave their houses off and on in wake of this firing. They lose their cattle and crops. Not only that their children lose education as they can’t attend schools.
The Indian Army should give a befitting reply so that Pakistan never embarks on this misadventure in the future. Only a strong response will ensure peace at border.
Yours etc…
