JAMMU, June 21: Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) activists held a protest and expressed their resentment against the Government’s decision of introducing Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode in the Government Hospitals.
The activists of BJYM led by its State secretary Partap Singh Jamwal assembled at the main gate Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) and raised slogans against the Medical Education Minister Taj Mohi-ud-Din and burnt his effigy.
The protestors were demanding immediate rollback of the decision terming it as anti-people.
While speaking, Partap said that poor people who come to GMCH for treatment are suffering from this PPP mode as they have to pay huge expenses for X-Rays, CT Scan, MRI scans, etc.
Demanding immediate revocation of this decision, Partap warned the Medical Education Minister that BJYM will launch agitation against PPP mode.
Among others present were Deepak Raj Panday, Lovekesh Gondhi, Angat Kumar, Sahil Mustaq, Sidhant Dogra, Varun Badyal, Rohit Kumar, Sandeep Kumar, etc.
