JAMMU, June 22: The Union Minister in PMO, Dr Jitendra Singh today visited the residence of senior KP leader and an RSS ideologue H L Chatta who passed away here recently to pay his condolences to bereaved family.
Dr Singh, who was accompanied by PK president Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, BJP Migrant Cell, president, Bharat Bushan Gosani, secretary ASKPC Subash Chatta, ex Sarpanch and social activist Nana Ji, Virender Kuchroo, Rajinder social activists and BJP leader Mr Wangnoo expressed his profound shock and grief over the demise of Mr Chatta whom he termed a staunch nationalist.
He recalled his role and services to people in general and his community members in particular. He said Mr Chatta was a forth right person and a patriot to core. Dr Singh, while highlighting his contributions of Mr Chatta in temporary rehabilitation of his community members during the mass migration in 1989-90 said he worked round the clock to mitigate the sufferings of his community men. He was on fore front in highlighting the problems of the community which was hounded out from Valley and took refuge in Jammu and other parts of the country.
He said it was due to the efforts of Mr Chatta along with late KP leader A N Vaishnavi and other social activists of the community that they managed to get admissions for the KP students in professional colleges in various states. He said Mr Chatta continued to serve the community and nation till his last breath and his death has created a void which can’t be filled up.
