BSF running short of fuel in J&K

JAMMU, June 24: In militancy infested Jammu and Kashmir State, which shares highly sensitive border with hostile Pakistan, the Border Security Force is running short of fuel.
It may sound astonishing but the same has been admitted by a BSF spokesman in an invitation sent to media for the coverage of annual Baba Chamliyal Mela, which is scheduled to be held on June 26.
In the communiqué, the BSF has said that due to shortage of fuel, it would not be able to provide conveyance to the invitees.
The issue of fuel shortage with BSF raises a serious question mark on the preparation of forces to effectively counter the cross border terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir.
