RAJOURI, June 25: People protesting for arrest of accused in the accident that resulted to death of a youth, turned violent and damaged a passenger bus at Balsham here today.
Acting swiftly, police arrested two persons involved in the incident while a case in this connection has also been registered at Police Station Dharamshal,
Reports said that the incident took place when family members and relatives of a youth, who had died in a road accident on June 7, were protesting against delay in arrest of those responsible for the accident.
As the protesters had blocked the road, a few of them started attacking a stranded passenger bus and broke open its window panes.
Acting swiftly, police reached the spot and arrested two persons, identified as Suraj Parkash and Vipin. A case in this connection has also been registered.
