BHADERWAH, July 11: MLA Bhaderwah, Mohammad Sharief Niaz inaugurated the GR Azad Memorial Football Tournament in a well attended function, here today.
The tournament is being organized by Bhaderwah Football Association to launch a campaign against drug abuse through the medium of sports.
The inaugural match was played between Senior Citizens and Officers which ended in a draw.
The chief guest, Niaz donated Rs 25000 to the organizers for smooth and successful conduct of the tournament. He assured the organizers of taking steps with regard to improving the sports infrastructure in the area.
Speaking on the occasion, Nadeem Sharief Niaz, president Youth Congress Bhaderwah demanded the development of a Football Stadium in Bhaderwah.
Others present on the occasion included, SP Bhaderwah, Commanding Officer CRPF, SDM Bhaderwah and SDPO Bhaderwah.
