POONCH, June 26: Ahmadiya Muslim Jamat Poonch organized one-day Annual Sports Meet at Sport Stadium, here today.
Rafiq Ahmed, president Majlis Khudam-ul-Ahmadiya India was the chief guest on the occasion, who while addressing the gathering said that sports events should be organized to promote peace and harmony.
Prizes were distributed among position holders by the chief guest on the occasion.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Orangzeb Sahid Rather, Khalil Ahmed, Farooq Ahmed Faried and Imam.
The events held included kabaddi, 100 meter sprint, kho-kho, long jump, shot put and banana race.
The kabaddi, kho-kho and 100 meter sprint race events were won by Poonch Dara Dullian, while Mendhar emerged runners-up.
