SRINAGAR, June 27: The Speaker, Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Mubarak Gul today said that there is immense talent in the youth of the State however, it is required to be channelized in a proper way so as to enable them to excel at the National and International levels.
This was stated by the Speaker while addressing a function organised in connection with the final match of the Cricket Tournament at Government Higher Secondary School, Sangam today.
About 16 cricket teams of district Srinagar and Ganderbal participated in the tournament and the final cricket match was played between Sangam and Mirpora.
Mr. Gul while applauding the contribution of Parvez Rasool at the international level said that he is an inspiration for the budding cricketers of the State. He asked the participating players to hone their skills so as to enable them to play at various levels. He said that the Government has taken several steps aiming to strengthen existing sports infrastructure and for promoting sports culture in the State.
