PHEWWA holds protest in support of demands

REASI, June 28: As a part of its ongoing struggle, District Unit of PHE Workers’ Welfare Association (PHEWWA) today held a protest demonstration under the banner of PHE Workers’ Association, Reasi division, at PHE Division Complex, Reasi.
Large number of employees and workers registered their presence in the protest, which was led by district president, PHEWWA, Tara Mani. They raised slogans against the concerned PHE authorities for adopting anti-workers policies.
Reiterating the demands of the Union including disbursement of 16-months pending salary of CP workers, 18-months of Shrine Board workers and 26-months of Need Based workers besides other demands like regularization of both ITI and Non-ITI workers after five years, Rs 300 per day of wage for daily wagers, disbursement of wages of all sorts of PHE workers before 5th of every month, holding DPC meeting at all levels and framing new concrete recruitment policy for PHE Department, Tara Mani threatened the PHE administration of intensifying their struggle in case of further delay in resolving their demands.
Disclosing that the Association will observe one-day Kaam Choro Hartal from 7 am of June 30, 2014 to 7 am of July 1, 2014, the Association president appealed all the PHE employees of the district to make it a successful one.
