SRINAGAR, June 28: With the aim to integrate the local populace of Mantrigam region, Army in coordination with Integrated Social Development Society organized a Kissan Mela at Government Secondary School, Mantrigam.
A total of 250 farmers participated wherein Sub Division Agricultural Officer, Gh Hassan was the chief guest who distributed seeds and organic manure to the Kissan. A number of lectures on apiculture, sericulture and paddy farming were also conducted on this occasion. Farmers gave an overwhelming response and interacted with the technocrats and also praised the initiative by the Army and the NGO.
