Kashmir Summer Festival-2014 concludes

SRINAGAR, June 29:  The 9-Day Kashmir Summer Festival concluded, here today.
Director Tourism, Talat Parvez in presence of Director SKICC, Yasmin Khan distributed mementos and trophies among the organizers and participants at a function held here at Nagin Club.
The 9-day long festival was organized by Tourism Department in collaboration of Handicrafts and its allied Departments.
The events during the festival were organised in collaboration with various business establishments like Hatrick, JK Bank, SMC, Nikon, Raja Colour Lab, Only Kashmir Today, Rising Kashmir and co-organised by other tourism related business centres of the Valley.
Speaking on the occasion, Talat highlighted the importance of sports and related events for promoting tourism in Kashmir.
He said more and more such events and activities need to be organized to encourage maximum participation of youth, adding that Tourism Department is putting in all its efforts to develop tourist infrastructure in Kashmir so as to attract more and more tourists.
