JKCA Jammu wing holds meet, passes resolution

JAMMU, July 5: A scheduled meeting of Working Committee members of Jammu Wing of JKCA was held as per the notice issued its Joint Secretary, here today.
The meeting was chaired by Vice Chairman, Jammu Wing, Rakesh Kumar (Pamma).
The members hailed the re-election of Dr Farooq Abdhullah as JKCA president and reposed complete faith in his leadership, patronage and conviction to forge complete transparency in the affairs of the cricket association.
The Joint Secretary, Sudershan Mehta while welcoming the members presented a brief report with regard to the ongoing cricket camps at Jammu as per the directions of president to promote cricket in every nook and corner of the State, particularly in border districts.
Keeping in view the directions of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Srinagar, the members on the occasion also passed a resolution requesting the president for convening a meeting of the body of the office bearers of the Association so that decisions for allocation of funds for holding the cricket activities can be undertaken as per the annual cricket calendar.
It is note worthy that the president Dr. Farooq Abdhullah has instructed the JKCA office bearers to undertake maximum cricketing activities in the State so that constructive and character building initiative for youth can be undertaken through cricket.
Other matters with regard to the promotion of the cricket and infrastructure in Jammu Province also came up for discussion during the meeting.
