JAMMU, July 9: Two days workshop on Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) was organized by MV International School in collaboration with Avant Publishing Services Ltd, New Delhi, which concluded here today. CBSE Master Trainer, Renu Anand was the resource person for the workshop.
The workshop was attended by principals and teachers of MV International School, Kartar Public School and Spring Dales Public School, Kathua.
A total of 70 teachers were benefited from the workshop with regard to various tools, techniques and methodologies to be adopted by them in order to implement CCE in letter and spirit.
Earlier, in his welcome address, School Principal, K L Dogra appreciated the teachers for their dedication of sacrificing holidays to sharpen their teaching skills at the workshop.
He said CCE stands for holistic growth of each individual thereby strengthening their foundations.
Highly interactive sessions were held in the workshop that included the development of subject wise rubrics, planning for scholastic and co-scholastic activities, importance of Formative and Summative Assessment (SAs), Problem Solving Assessments (PSA), Assessment of Speaking and Listening (ASL) and Interdisciplinary group projects.
During the sessions, teachers were given group tasks in their concerned subjects to showcase their expertise.
This added to their understanding of the concepts for effective class room teaching, time management, self assessment and orientation of mind with right attitude.
At the end of the workshop, Director MV International School, Gourav Abrol expressed satisfaction on the overall conduct of the workshop and thanked the resource person, Renu Anand and Rakesh Goswami, Director Avant Publishing Services Ltd, New Delhi for such an eventful workshop.
The workshop ended with the distribution of certificates to the participating teachers.
