CPPWU’s concern over violation of Labour Laws

KISHTWAR, July 9: Chinar Power Projects Workers Union (CPPWU) has expressed concern over the violation of Labour Laws in Rattle Hydro Electric Project, Drabshalla.
In a statement, Joginder Bhandari, Chairman of the union said that the Assistant Labour Commissioner, Kishtwar is hand in glove with the executing agency of Rattle Hydro Electric Power Project and the workers have been denied all the facilities like project allowance, tunnel allowance, food allowance, dust allowance, bus services from Kishtwar, Salana, Badhar and Kandani to work sites which has caused resentment among the workers.
He demanded enhancement of labour wages at par with the workers of Chenani-Nashri four line tunnel and the accommodation provided to the workers of Chenani-Nashri tunnel should be given to the workers of Rattle Hydro Electric Power Project, Drabshalla.
