JAMMU, July 9: Jammu and Kashmir Chapter of All India Ayurvedic Congress and Ayurvedic Society for Health Awareness [ASHA] today extended their full moral support to unemployed Ayurvedic Doctors, who have decided to intensify their struggle for the larger interests of Ayurveda in general and for unemployed Ayurvedic Doctors in particular.
Despite separate State Level Directorate for the last nearly 27 years, AYUSH sector in our State is in its pathetic and miserable existence, largely due to policy of neglect and discrimination on part of State Government and policy of administrative inertia on part of Directorate of Indian Systems of Medicines, said Dr Sadanand Sharma and impressed upon the Government to immediately bifurcate and establish separate Provincial Directorates for both Ayurveda and Unani.
He also asserted for sanctioning of new institutions in every district, creation of posts for AYUSH Units, commissioning of State Level Pharmacy and Government Ayurvedic Colleges; buildings which already stand completed with financial help of GoI, creation of two posts of B grade Specialist for each district, regularization of nearly 70-non sanctioned dispensaries, which are being managed on so called ‘internal arrangement basis’, etc.
