Deputations call on CM

SRINAGAR, July 17: Various deputations today called on Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah and presented him memoranda of their demands.
A deputation of B.Ed College Association led by Harbans Singh in its meeting with the Chief Minister discussed issues pertaining to the functioning of B.Ed Colleges as also those relating to their strengthening and welfare of the students.
A deputation of Dental Surgeons Association apprised the Chief Minister of the issues concerning to their fraternity and sought his support for addressing the same.
A group of students from Assam, who are presently on educational tour of the State under the Exchange Programme also called on Chief Minister and had an interaction with him. They put various questions to the Chief Minister on different subject including public empowerment, development and educational growth in the State.
The Chief Minister elaborately apprised them of the measures the State Government has taken for universalization of education and introducing modern subjects of science and technology in the higher educational institutions. He also informed them of the measures initiated by the Government for empowerment of people and holistic development of the State.
