Iran-Pak-India pipeline: Govt says critical issues still unresolved

NEW DELHI, July 21:
No further development in the proposed Iran-Pakistan-India gas pipeline was made in view of some unresolved critical issues, the Lok Sabha was informed today. Several critical issues like delivery point of Iranian gas, the project structure, including project finance, guarantees related to safety of pipeline and security of supply, pricing of gas, location of international seat of arbitration, were yet to be resolved, Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said in a written reply. Several rounds of discussions with the Governments of Iran and Pakistan have been held up to ministerial level since 2006, he added. (UNI)
