JAMMU, July 23: Modi Government’s proposed amendments can be seen as steps towards right direction provided a complete overhauling exercise takes place.
State Governments including J&K despite declaring the education field as priority sector, even never cared for appointing the capable and honest faces as Education Ministers.
Deep Singh, president of “Jammu Pvt Schools & ETT Institutes Association (Progressive)” while commenting on the recent media reports related to the Modi’s Government proposals related to some effective steps towards the overhauling of prevailing defunct school education policy framed by the outgoing UPA Government, termed it as steps towards right direction.
UPA’s defunct education policy is directly responsible for a huge national loss where unlimited innocent children were allowed to qualify their 8th classes without any competence and ultimately faced a full stop in Board exams, Deep Singh alleged.
Modi’s majority Govern-ment must pass a Bill in Parliament for appointment of credible faces as Education Ministers at central level as well as in States, Deep Singh suggested. “We hope that Central Government will sincerely work for making the education field as really a priority sector”, he concluded.
