KISHTWAR, July 23: In order to take on the spot review of annual Machail yatra arrangements, DDC Kishtwar Mohd Javed Khan visited Padder tehsil along with various officers.
Chairing a meeting of officers and members of Sarva Shakti Sevak Sanstha, the DDC held threadbare discussion regarding the yatra arrangements and sought the details from different departments regarding security arrangements, condition of road, bridle path leading to holy shrine, medical facilities, electricity supply, drinking water, accommodation for yatris, transport and sanitation etc.
He asked all the concerned officers and members of ‘Sanstha’ to give a facelift to entire yatra route and install banners at various places. He called for strong coordination of Administration, ‘Sanstha’ and general public for making the Yatra a successful event.
The DDC also took a review meeting of all BLOs of Padder tehsil and enquired about the progress in revision of electoral rolls. He asked them to ensure full registration of new voters for upcoming Assembly elections.
Regarding the resumption of work on Gulabgarh-Machail road, Mr Khan visited village Garh and interacted with the villagers to discuss the bottlenecks in the project.
