Manohar dedicates 3 roads to Hiranagar people

KATHUA, July 23: During his whirlwind tour of tehsil Hiranagar, Minister of State for Fisheries, Cooperatives, Finance and Planning, Dr Manohar Lal Sharma dedicated  to the public three roads completed under various schemes.
Inhabitants of connecting Panchayats were present in large number to accord rousing welcome to the Minister. Locals of the area appreciated the Minister for his efforts.
At Prangoli the Minister inaugurated 1 Km Lower Pran-goli link road constructed at an estimated cost of Rs.18.43 lakh by PWD (R&B). Thereafter, Dr Sharma visited Saida Panchayat and dedicated second phase of Saida- Chilak road, completed at an expense of Rs 46.93 lakh under PMGSY.
The Minister also visited Mangloor Panchayat and inaugurated 750 meter first phase of SC Mohalla-Mangloor road constructed by PWD with an estimated  cost of Rs 14.50 lakh.
While addressing public, Dr Sharma said that people of ‘Kandi’ area have lot of problems and Government in its over  five years of regime has taken unmatchable steps to provide people of kandi areas with basic amenities including safe drinking water and roads. He said besides giving road access to the people Government has also put efforts to relieve people of kandi from water scarcity by building check dams and reviving water ponds. He appealed the Sarpanchs to motivate people for MGNREGA works to make assets for the Panchayats.
Panchayat representatives of Prangoli, Sunkhal, Kadetar, Katli, Pacca Kotha, Dinga Amb, Badoli and Surara submitted a memorandum of demands to the Minister.
