Two held with ‘Neelam’ in Narwal Chowk

JAMMU, July 24: Two persons were arrested along with 58 grams of Sapphire ‘Neelam’ from Narwal.
As per police sources, police party from Narwal police post intercepted two persons, who were moving under suspicious circumstance near Narwal Chowk.
During search, police recovered 58 grams of sapphire (Neelam) from their possession and arrested both the accused.
The accused have been identified as Surjit Singh, son of Bhuri Singh of Kundal Padder, Kishtwar and Rakesh Anand, son of Hem Raj Anand of Mohalla Jullaka, Jammu.
A case under FIR number142/14 under Section 4/5 Sapphire Act has been registered at police station Trikuta Nagar.
Police team headed by Incharge Police Post Narwal SI Inayat Ali made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO East Mohammad Rafiq, SP South Rahul Maliq and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
