JAMMU, Aug 1: Jammu and Kashmir Sports Speedball Association has selected 25 players for the sub junior nationals to be held at New Delhi from tomorrow.
The selection of the players was made under the overall supervision of Sunny Nanda, general secretary J&K Speedball Association.
The State contingent was flagged off today by Nitish Mahajan, newly appointed joint secretary of the Association in presence of other office bearers including S P Langer, Vijay Kumar Sharma, Vijay Gupta, Savita Sethi, Kamal Singh Jamwal, Sanjeev Gupta and Shobha Sharma.
Nitish Mahajan also arranged snacks for the students after reaching Delhi in order to encourage them.
The Association members and office bearers thanked Mr Nitish for encouraging the budding players.
The selected players included Manthan Pandoh (Air Force School), Pranay Gupta (Blooming Dale), Rakshit Langer(JMPS), Angadpal Singh(JKMPS), Janvi Sharma, Aryan Kangotra, Gurmanjeet Singh(all S D Tara Puri), Mradima Gupta (TTHSS), Gourav Kangotra, Rashmi Sharma, Veermanu (all J P World School), Puneet Kumar, Vikas Patil, Abhinandan Ghai, Rithik Kumar, (all APS Akhnoor), Mansi Slathia, Pratham Thappa, Aryan Vaid, Himanshu Sharma, Adeev Kundal, Ujwal Slathia (all M V International School Samba), Varunpreet Singh (GHPS), Aditya Singh (CPS).
Sunny Nanda is accompanying the team as coach, while Sahil Janjua and Sakshi Vaid are accompanying the team as head boy and head girl respectively.
